Cryotherapy
How Does Cryotherapy Work?
As a treatment that is longer being offered by the NHS it’s highly successful and popular for removal of various skin liaisons.
Cryotherapy is medical non-surgical treatment involving the removal of skin lesions by using liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin cells until they die. The freezing treatment normally involves 5-30 seconds of the liquid spray being applied with the Cryosthetics device further freezing treatment can be applied after a short break dependent on the skin type and the nature of the problem.
In the days following treatment with the cryosthetics, the treated skin lesion may become darker and will begin to crust. The crusted skin lesion will eventually flake away; this could take anywhere between 1-6 weeks. Healing time varies from patient to patient and is largely dependent on the skin type and the skin lesion that has been treated.
